Impact Consulting participates in creating a Forum for Innovation and Hospitality at recent Zest Conference

Following the Innovation Accelerated 2017 conference which Impact Consulting organized and presented in Malta in 2017, the organizers of this year’s Zest Conference invited Impact to assist in the organization of this year’s inaugural Hospitality Block at Zest.

Laurence Mittelbronn of Procurly USA who presented at IA last year coordinated a forum of international speakers during which Robyn Pratt facilitated an interesting panel discussion with Tommy Diacono of New York Best and Benji Borg of Anchovy. The theme being around the importance of effective management of Social Media in a Start Up.

Laurence and another colleague of Impact Consulting, Florian Mesny, led an interesting presentation of Trends in the hospitality industry which are many and important for owners and operators to keep abreast of these so that they do not get left behind.

Here is some feedback from Laurence and Florian – “It was a great experience for us to network with local and international professionals all connected by one same passion: Food & Beverage (F&B), wanting to do good, to help business do well, be aware of the current trends, rapid changes and innovation. Our participants of the Block were: Robyn of Impact, Tommy from NYBest, Malta, Benji of Anchovy who has helped it’s social media success, Dario from Atlantic Food Labs, Berlin and Florian at Moonrakers, France.  Our goal was to ensure that this first Hospitality Block would bring a good sense of what technology and innovation means when it comes to F&B and Hospitality, from the Bigger picture/perspective: the Future of Food and consumer demand for healthier products, to the local reality at NY Best, followed by a large set of tangible examples of Start Ups disrupting the industry by bringing true solutions.

There is a lot out there from the front of the house to the back of the house, from FoodTech to AgTech, the challenge is to get the information and the knowledge that exists out there, to the right people.  We look forward to next year’s event which we are sure will be even bigger and better than the 2017 edition.

It is important to note that despite the eco-system in Malta being still small, there is great opportunity for such a market to take a foothold in growing this eco-system by bringing Mediterranean countries traditions towards innovation as a hub."

Robyn Pratt and the team of Impact Consulting are looking forward to working with the various parties to build the Malta eco-system for the hospitality industry as there certainly is great potential.
